Friday is stats day! We show you some advanced, new technology stats you won't see anywhere else. Let's start with passes. Nobody at the #IIHFWorlds completed more passes than @JohnGaudreau03 of the @NHLFlames for @USAHockey. Good job, Johnny Hockey! pic.twitter.com/Sj2FKzPUD1

Who's the best passer? While Johnny Gaudreau had the most completed passes, Russian defenceman Dinar Khafizullin of @russiahockey_en and @hcSKA_News had the best passing success rate at the #IIHFWorlds! pic.twitter.com/aB42aSxpjm

Our next stat: we have a look at the fastest skaters by analyzing the fastest sprints at #IIHFWorlds. The winner is... Latvian forward @Ronaldskenins of @lhf_lv & the @ZSCLions! He had the top speed with 41.32 km/h (25.68 mph). The top-10 haven't changed after the playoff round. pic.twitter.com/O6BmD6oyNI

So, Kenins is the fastest skater. Time to go to another athletic discipline – the distance skated during the #IIHFWorlds! @OEL23 of @Trekronorse & @ArizonaCoyotes was the marathon man with 60.89 kilometres in ten games - he also had the most ice time of all skaters, 240:06. pic.twitter.com/5OITC1C9Rj

Now we have a look at the puck and start with puck possession. The Czech @narodnitym had most of it during their games, 56.67% while the Koreans saw the puck the least, 40.47% pic.twitter.com/tjARlIa3M4

And here comes our last stat of the day. We measured the shot speed at the #IIHFWorlds and the hardest shooter was clearly Colton Parayko! Five of the eight hardest shots actually came from the @HC_Men & @StLouisBlues defenceman!

During all 64 games at the #IIHFWorlds, the pucks travelled a distance of 952 kilometres on the ice sheets of Copenhagen and Herning. That’s roughly the distance from Copenhagen to London or Zurich! pic.twitter.com/YWBUg0C9tP
