Der Europameister Italien wird in Rom von Tausenden Fans begeistert empfangen und bejubelt.

Zahlreiche Menschen säumten am Montagabend die Strassen der italienischen Hauptstadt, durch die der Mannschaftsbus mit dem Team von Trainer Roberto Mancini fuhr. Die Menschen schwenkten Fahnen, jubelten den Spielern zu und applaudierten. Die Mannschaft brauchte daher deutlich länger als vorgesehen für die kurze Strecke durch die Stadt, weil der Bus nur langsam vorankam und immer wieder anhalten musste.
